Five Trigs is a 19 mile trail challenge in Saddleworth, starting from Delph and following footpaths, trails and sections of the Pennine Way across the South Pennines. The route visits five trig points including Blackstone Edge while covering around 3,000ft of ascent through the moorland landscape.
The course is self navigated and unmarked, requiring runners and walkers to visit checkpoints and trig points in the correct order using public rights of way. The terrain combines moorland tracks, upland trails and steep climbs with expansive views across the Pennines throughout the challenge.
