The Durham City Run Festival features 5K and 10K road races through the historic streets of Durham. Organised by Events of the North, the evening races follow routes around the city centre, passing cobbled streets, riverside sections along the River Wear and some of Durham’s best known landmarks.
Both races finish beneath the backdrop of Durham Cathedral and Castle, creating one of the most distinctive city centre finishes in the North East. Known for its lively summer atmosphere and strong local support, the event attracts runners of all abilities from across the region.
