West Yorkshire Trail Run 2026

Woodland Trails And Estate Views Await At Harewood House

Yorkshire trail event returns...

The West Yorkshire Trail Run returns to Harewood House near Leeds on Sunday 21 June 2026, bringing runners back to one of Yorkshire’s most scenic estate trail races. Organised by UK Running Events, the day includes 22K, 13K and 8K distances across the historic Harewood estate.

Set within more than 100 acres of parkland, woodland and landscaped trails, the routes take runners through Wall Side Plantation before climbing towards Sugar Hill with wide views across the estate. The courses also pass near the Emmerdale set before heading towards Eccup Reservoir, the largest body of water in West Yorkshire.

The return sections travel through Carr Plantation and Piper Wood, combining forest trails, lakeside running and rolling off road terrain. With elevation gains ranging from just over 100 metres to more than 260 metres, the event offers a challenge that remains highly runnable across all distances.

The mix of scenery, varied terrain and well marked routes has helped the West Yorkshire Trail Run build a strong reputation within the regional trail running calendar. The event appeals to experienced trail runners as well as those looking to step away from road racing and try multi terrain running for the first time.

Chip timing, on course refreshments, finisher medals and post race goodies are all included, while Harewood House provides a distinctive backdrop that makes the event stand out within the Yorkshire trail scene. Entries are now open ahead of the 2026 edition.
