The Country to Capital Ultra is organised by Go Beyond Events and takes place between Wendover in Buckinghamshire and Little Venice in London. As the opening race in the Go Beyond Grand Slam series, alongside the Chiltern Wonderland 50, South Downs Way 50 and Thames Trot 50, it attracts runners from across the UK and around the world.
The 43 mile point to point course starts in Wendover before crossing the Chiltern Hills on trails, roads and countryside paths, eventually joining the Grand Union Canal for a long towpath run into the finish at Little Venice. The varied terrain and contrasting landscapes create a demanding but rewarding early season ultra marathon.
Five well stocked checkpoints, GPS tracking, baggage transfer, experienced marshals and generous cut off times help deliver a high quality race experience. All finishers receive a commemorative medal and Go Beyond merchandise, while the event's reputation and unique route have established the Country to Capital Ultra as one of the UK's classic ultra marathons.
