Starting on the very edge of the market town of Settle, you’ll be straight onto the Dales High Way trail towards Malham. From there, you’ll pick up the Pennine Way and get to run towards and over famous Malham Cove, and on the edge of Malham Tarn, around Great Close Hill and Fountains Fell via Pennine Way. And just when you will think the hardest bit is done you have a lovely climb up to Pen-y-ghent (self clip) via Pennine Way. Once you self clip you can descent back the same way and take a Pennine Journey path, followed by Ribble way to follow Dales High Way down south alongside the river before heading back to Settle with downhill sprint finish.
