Getting a mooove on at The Longhorn

Stampede for The Longhorn 2022

Early Bird entries have opened for next year’s event.

The Longhorn rides back into town on Sunday 24 April 2022 with its choice of distances, superb location and free race photos make this a ‘must do’ event for every runner. Man’s best friend is welcome to give it a go as are Nordic Walkers and don't forget that iconic medal.

Always a well organised and marshalled affair from SBR Events, The Longhorn has acquired a loyal following over the years with people returning time and time again. The attractive and challenging course on a mixture of terrain, aid stations (including water for dogs), friendly, enthusiastic marshals and free post-race massages are just some of the reasons to enter but is it the cake that's the deciding factor?

New to the sport or a seasoned athlete; speedster or prefer to go long; solo or enjoy running with your canine companion – this is an event to suit all with trophies and certificates up for grabs.

The 5K is ideal for families as well as individuals and they can run or walk the distance. There is a 10K with two start waves, a Half Marathon, Marathon, 50K Ultra and a 60K Ultra, Canicross and Nordic Walking. You're just spoilt for choice.

The action takes place in the beautiful surroundings of Thoresby Park and Sherwood Forest, a National Nature Reserve where the estate’s Longhorn cattle like to roam. Runners, walkers and their families and friends can roam around the Race Village with its food and drink stalls and soak up the atmosphere along with the views.

Entries have opened for The Longhorn 2022 so make the most of the Early Bird price. Register now at the SBR Events website.
