The Shenstone 10K is a popular community road race starting and finishing at Shenstone Playing Fields near Lichfield. Organised by FROGS, the Greysbrooke Primary School PTA, the event brings runners together for a 10K through Shenstone and the surrounding Staffordshire countryside, with a lively race headquarters at the playing fields.
Runners follow a fast and relatively flat course suited to experienced athletes, recreational runners and those tackling their first 10K. The route returns to Shenstone Playing Fields for the finish, with a two hour cut off providing plenty of time to complete the distance. Entertainment, stalls and refreshments at the event village help create a welcoming atmosphere for runners and supporters throughout the morning.
The event raises funds for Greysbrooke Primary School while also supporting local children's charities and community groups. Finishers receive a bespoke medal alongside water, fruit and other treats, with trophies awarded to the leading male and female runners. Free race and finish line photography provides an additional memento of this established local event.
