Running Like The Wind

Runners enjoyed another fun weekend of running at Whitelee Wind Farm...

2024's Run The Blades was another massive success with well over 1000 runners taking part across the weekend's various distances on offer. The sold-out event incorporates a 10K, half-marathon and 50K ultra over two days and is held exclusively within the UK’s largest onshore wind farm, Whitelee Wind Farm near Eaglesham.

Speaking after the event, organisers said: "Wow! What a weekend. I always struggle to articulate my thoughts after a weekend like Run The Blades at ScottishPower Whitelee Wind Farm. Definitely gratitude for the continued support of the event from everyone who runs, volunteers, works, supports, supplies, sponsors and advises."

Run The Blades has grown to become one of the largest trail running events in the UK thanks to its 'towering turbines, robust route signage, friendly marshals and support, the best race medal and amazing goody bag not to mention the vibrant Event Village'.
