Richmond RUNFEST is feeling Olympic – are you?
Superb medals revealed for the return of the full fat Richmond RUNFEST
Does anything say 'come on Team GB' better than these two beauties? The gorgeous bling pictured above is the reward waiting for you at Richmond RUNFEST 2021 – finally back in its favoured autumn slot on 11-12 September 2021.
The medals echo the London 2012 legacy that underpins and inspires Richmond RUNFEST and links to the delayed 2020 Tokyo Olympics – now due to open on 23 July 2021. They also help us to express our joy as we finally celebrate uniting in competition during Olympic year.
Tom, Jade and Sarah at Richmond RUNFEST have told us that Richmond Half Marathon on Sunday is 95% full already and Saturday's Kew Gardens 10K is at 50% capacity and filling fast – so the message is don't delay if you want to come out and play!
As we edge ever closer towards the end of all remaining pandemic restrictions there is a huge surge in interest in getting back to mass participation events we all love. The RUNFEST team have already hosted the largest socially distanced 10K races in the UK this year, on 15-16 May, with 1,392 finishers in Air:10K on Saturday and 732 runners in Kew Gardens 10K on Sunday.
This year's lead charity is Children with Cancer UK and there are guaranteed places in both main events for all fundraisers who join the CwC UK Team – with perks such as a colourful racing vest; race photo; training days run by RUNFEST experts and a celebratory glass of champagne at the finish!
Also on the RUNFEST race programme are Children with Cancer UK Kids Mile and Visit Cayman Islands Sundown 5K on Saturday 11 September and Family Fun Run and Richmond Marathon (charity places remaining only) on Sunday 12 September.
