The Richmond Half Marathon is part of the Richmond RUN-FEST weekend, starting inside the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, and finishing at a music festival in Old Deer Park.
The flat and fast course starts beside the Orangery before leaving Kew Gardens and following the River Thames through Richmond. Runners pass landmarks including Ham House, Richmond Palace and Teddington Lock, with road, path, gravel and grass underfoot during the 13.1 miles.
The England Athletics certified course is clearly marked and measured, with pacers, marshals, first aid, water stations and entertainment along the route. Finishers receive a medal, technical T-shirt and post-race refreshments. Race entry also includes free early-morning admission to Kew Gardens for four spectators.
