Last call for Richmond Runfest fans
Richmond RUNFEST on 14-15 September 2019 has sold all the regular public places for the Richmond Marathon, Richmond Half Marathon and Kew Gardens 10K in record time. However, runABC South has been informed that charity places are still available and the new Richmond Sundown 5K is still open for standard entries.
Richmond Sundown 5K replaces The Pirate Run 5K in the weekend programme that also features Richmond Kids Mile races on Saturday and NIKE Family Fun Run on Sunday.
Richmond Sundown 5K bridges the weekend with a 7:00pm start time on Saturday evening, followed by an Après Run party, headlined by Sharlene and Vula from Basement Jaxx!
There will be on course entertainment every 500m to keep you going and as race director Tom Bedford says: "Music is an important element to a RUNFEST event so we are super excited to have Sharlene and Vula performing with their band. It does not matter if you walk it, jog it or run it. Just ‘Do your thing’ and join us on the 14th September!"
If you are determined not to miss out on the longer options then the charity route is the only way to get your RUNFEST fix. Raise a minimum £200 for Kew Gardens 10K; £350 for Richmond Half or £500 for Richmond Marathon and your chosen charity will welcome you with open arms, on course cheers and possibly even a glass of bubbly at the finish.
Every finisher in a RUNFEST event receives a packed goody bag plus bespoke event medal. Anyone who completes a RUNFEST 'Weekend Double' (any two events from 5K to marathon) will additionally qualify for the unique Goddess of Victory medal. Perhaps best of all, everyone also gets a free beer token and access to Old Deer Park for the Richmond Food and Fitness Expo and Fuller's bar.
