A Couple Of Valentines Runs
Play together at Phoenix Running's events this weekend...
The phrase "Couples that play together, stay together" is a well-known and widely accepted maxim. With Valentine's Day on Saturday, 14th February 2026, why not share your passion for running with your running partner at the Phoenix Running Roses Are Red Valentines Run?
In fact, why not go the extra mile(s) and add the Phoenix Running Violets Are Blue Valentines Run on Sunday, 15th February 2026? You could clock up to 14 hours of running together over the weekend to consolidate your relationship. What's not to love about that?
Roses Are Red Valentines Run is at Phoenix Running's traditional venue, the Xcel Sports Hub Stadium, Waterside Drive, Walton-on-Thames, Surrey, KT12 2JG, with an 8:30am start and a seven-hour limit. The course is a simple, flat, out-and-back 5.3K loop on the beautiful River Thames towpath. You choose to cover any distance from 5.3K to an ultramarathon.
Violets Are Blue Valentines Run is held on a 5K lap on the Downs Link at Southwater Park, Cripplegate Lane, Southwater, Horsham, West Sussex, with an earlier start from 8:00am.
Both events feature Phoenix Running's uniquely flexible 'rock up and run' individual start time within a one-hour window, but all runners must finish by 3:00pm.
The Valentines Run events share the same awesome 'Love Spoon' medal design, colour-coded to match the red or blue of the event title. What an opportunity to collect a brilliant pair of bespoke medals. You can forego a medal for a flat fee of £20 if bling isn't your thing.
The beauty of the format is that you don't need to decide your distance in advance. Simply run a lap and see how you feel on the day, and keep on going if it feels right. Stop when you are no longer loving it!
