There's A Light At The End Of The Tunnel

A new take on the Tweed Valley Tunnel Run will be staged this October...

There's no running through a disused railway tunnel this year, but born from the same DNA as the Tweed Valley Tunnel Trail Run is a new event from the award-winning events team at Hillside Outside - the Tweed Valley Trail Run (1 October).

In this new incarnation, participants can still enjoy a beautiful trail run but this time with a choice of daytime or night-time starts along with friendly vibes, local food and drink, a grand afterparty and a woodland tunnel of lights to keep the tradition of the Tunnel Run shining bright!

Taking place near Peebles, the event will follow beautiful riverside paths, through nature-filled woodlands, and up onto the hills with fabulous views of the Tweed Valley below in all its autumn splendour.

Join the fun during the day with 20K, 10K or 5K courses to choose from, or run into the sunset for the Nightfall 10K. If you fancy a challenge, why not do day and night? Just make sure you're back in time for the afterparty so everyone can hear your twilight tales!

The daytime trails will provide a top quality run with all routes providing unrelenting autumn scenery, riverside trails, wildlife a-plenty and of course an arboreal avenue of light in the forest!

The Nightfall 10K is one for night owls! Participants will follow a throng of head torches on an exciting journey into the forest, into the fading light, through the dark woods and on to the light tunnel and finish!
