The Fields & Forest Relay is a 56K team event starting and finishing in Bardwell, with teams of two to four sharing four stages through the countryside of West Suffolk and Thetford Forest.
The route takes runners through open countryside and woodland, including West Harling Woods, before returning across the Suffolk landscape. The four stages are 21.5K, 11K, 12K and 11.5K, with changeovers at designated checkpoints allowing team members to complete one or more legs.
The course is well marked but not fully marshalled, so runners need to remain aware of navigation and take care at road crossings. Aid stations are positioned along the route, with an overall team cut off of 11 hours and medals for all finishers.
