Richmond Half Marathon Autumn 2026

Autumn Miles Along The Thames

Richmond Half Marathon Autumn returns on 1 November, taking runners from Old Deer Park onto a scenic riverside course beside the Thames...

Richmond Half Marathon Autumn returns on Sunday 1 November, offering runners the chance to swap busy London streets for 13.1 miles built largely around one of the capital's greatest running assets: the River Thames.

Organised by RunUK, the race starts at 9:00am from Old Deer Park in Richmond upon Thames and finishes back in the same green space. From there, much of the Half Marathon follows the river, combining open parkland and Thames side running in a setting that feels considerably removed from central London.

It is a formula that has become well established. RunUK has staged its Richmond Half Marathon for a number of years, with autumn editions recorded back to at least 2017 and another version traditionally held earlier in the year. The November race gives the familiar course a different character as the riverside moves firmly into autumn.

The relatively straightforward route also makes Richmond accessible to a broad range of runners. Previous participants have particularly praised the scenery and organisation, while the course has produced plenty of quick performances as well as attracting runners tackling the Half Marathon distance for the first time.

Chip timing is provided, with results available after runners cross the finish. Finishers receive a medal along with water, juice, fruit and a chocolate bar, while baggage facilities, medical support and a pre race warm up are available at Old Deer Park.

Kingston Hospital Charity is the event's official charity partner, giving runners the opportunity to add a fundraising purpose to their November miles.

London has no shortage of Half Marathons, but relatively few can spend so much of their 13.1 miles beside the Thames. With autumn colours arriving and summer racing conditions well behind us, Richmond should be particularly well suited to its November date.
