London 10,000 and Westminster Mile Dates

Factor in a free T-shirt and London 10,000 entries are only £6.50!

If you hope to run the Vitality London 10,000 or the Vitality Westminster Mile this year, here is a timely reminder that both events have been moved away from their traditional early May Bank Holiday weekend slot to new autumn dates.

London Marathon Events has announced that the Vitality London 10,000 will be held on Sunday 22 September 2024, while the Vitality Westminster Mile will take place the previous day – Saturday 21 September 2023 – continuing the usual format of both events being held on consecutive days.

Vitality London 10,000 will again be held on the spectacular course that starts on The Mall, finishes in front of Buckingham Palace, and takes in many of London's most impressive landmarks including St Paul's Cathedral just after halfway and Big Ben around 9K.

The new slot for this double-header became necessary last year due to the packed ceremonial calendar in May and June 2023, including the Coronation of King Charles III and the King’s Birthday Parade, and has been retained as it proved popular with participants.

Entries are available now at £46.50 and every finisher will receive the coveted Vitality London 10,000 vibrant pink medal and a New Balance technical T-shirt (RRP £39.99).

Vitality Westminster Mile is a family-friendly event held the day before Vitality London 10,000. The mile-long run gives first-time runners and children the chance to experience the excitement of a mass participation event over an achievable distance – and earn a bespoke medal for their efforts!

You can register an interest in signing up for Vitality Westminster Mile here. Participants in both events receive free access to the activities and entertainment at the Vitality Wellness Festival in Green Park.

Last year's Vitality London 10,000 saw around 15,000 finishers and the winners were Jack Rowe (Aldershot, Farnham and District AC, 28:13) and W40 master Sonia Samuels (Sale Harriers Manchester, 33:01 PB).
