Hit the trails with the family at Vogrie Country Park

Family-friendly off-road event returns next month

Organisers Scurry Events have just announced that entries to the second edition of their Vogrie Country Park Trail Running event, to be held on Sunday, 23 January, have just opened.

Building on the success of their inaugural event in 2020, the festival will include a 10K race, a 5K race and a 1.6K family fun trail run.

Runners who took part in the first edition of the event were full of praise for the event and its organisation, with one calling their course ‘challenging but doable and enjoyable’.

Another was very pleased to have ‘seen a side of Vogrie he’d never seen before’.

All races will be held on clearly marked and fully marshalled mixed terrain routes for everyone to enjoy.

They will also all start and finish in front of the Tyne Valley country park’s baronial manor.

5K runners will complete one lap around the countryside estate paths, woodlands and Tyne Valley trails and 10K runners two.

Entries are limited to 180 in the 10K, 70 in the 5K, and 40 in the 1.6K.

Early bird rates are in force for runners lucky enough to snap up the first batch of places.
