The Brighton 10K is organised by RunBase Events and takes place along the seafront in Brighton and Hove. First established in 1984 by Brighton & Hove AC, it is one of the longest established and best known 10K road races in the South East, attracting runners of all abilities to a fast coastal course.
The fully measured road course starts on Hove Promenade before following wide seafront roads towards Brighton. Runners pass the Palace Pier, the Sea Life Centre, Madeira Drive and the Victorian seafront arches before returning via the Brighton i360 and Hove Lawns to a finish on Hove Promenade. The flat profile and uninterrupted coastal views make it a popular race for both personal bests and first time 10K runners.
Chip timing, closed roads, water stations, free event photography and a finisher medal are included on race day. A well organised event village, enthusiastic spectator support and the vibrant atmosphere of Brighton's seafront combine to create one of the region's standout road running events.
