Fast, Flat And By The Sea At The Brighton 10K...
This relates to: Brighton 10K
The Brighton 10K returns on Sunday 15 November 2026, bringing one of the South East's longest established road races back to the city's famous seafront.
First staged in 1984 by Brighton & Hove AC, the event has built a reputation as one of the region's most prestigious 10Ks. Today it combines that rich heritage with modern race organisation, welcoming everyone from first time 10K runners to experienced club athletes chasing a personal best.
The fast, flat route starts on Hove Promenade before following the wide coastal roads towards central Brighton. Runners pass landmarks including Brighton Palace Pier, the Sea Life Centre and Madeira Drive before heading back along the seafront to an exciting finish on Hove Promenade. The smooth road surface and minimal elevation make it one of the South Coast's most popular courses for fast times.
Participants can expect professional chip timing, free race photography, an impressive finisher's medal and a friendly atmosphere that has become synonymous with the Brighton 10K. A Junior Mile also forms part of the day's programme, helping make the event a celebration of running for all ages.
Whether you're aiming for a personal best, stepping up to your first organised 10K or simply looking to enjoy a memorable run beside the sea, the Brighton 10K continues to offer one of the UK's classic autumn road racing experiences. With more than four decades of history behind it, it remains a highlight of the Sussex running calendar.
