Forty Races And Still Running Fast In Brighton
Brighton 10K celebrates its 40th race on 15 November with a fast seafront course, commemorative medal and some extra anniversary celebrations...
This relates to: Brighton 10K
Brighton 10K reaches a significant milestone on Sunday 15 November when runners gather on Hove Lawns for the 40th edition of this established south coast race.
Created by Brighton & Hove AC in 1984, the event has developed into one of the longest established 10Ks in the South East. Four decades of racing will be marked with a bespoke commemorative medal and some additional anniversary celebrations around the race village.
The essential ingredients remain reassuringly familiar. The 10K starts at 9:30am and follows a fast, flat route along the Brighton and Hove seafront, attracting everyone from first time 10K runners to experienced club athletes chasing a PB.
There is an earlier start for the next generation too. The Junior Mile gets underway at 8:45am and is open to children aged five to 14.
Runners entering the main race by Sunday 11 October can have their first name included on their race bib, while entry prices increase to the late rate from 1 November.
Free runner photography and a finisher's medal are included, with the seafront providing the familiar backdrop to the morning.
Forty races after it began, Brighton 10K is celebrating its history in the most appropriate way possible: another fast 10K beside the sea.
Entries are available now via the runABC race hub.
