The race route (pictured below) takes you past the many landmarks of Brighton and Hove, including Palace Pier, West Pier, Victorian Arches, and the 162-metre tall i360 moving observation tower. The course is about as flat and fast as any 10K in the UK and it has delivered countless PBs plus superb record times of 28:59 by Rob Denmark in 1993 and 33:14 by Louise Damen in 2010.

Last year's winners – when there were 2023 finishers – were James McMurray (St Albans Striders, 30:59) and Helen Hall (Winchester RC, 33:38) as reported here in runABC South.

The start and finish is on Hove Lawns (BN3 2WN) – 500m west of the i360. The exemplary Xempo Pace Team will again be on duty to help runners reach their target times. Last year there were 260 runners inside 40 minutes; 840 went under 50 minutes and more than 1,500 beat the hour.

Brighton 10K has again been nominated as a qualifying event for the Masters International 10K that will be held within the AJ Bell Great North Run 10K on 6 July 2025. The leading athletes in five-year age groups will qualify for selection for the England Masters team – more information at England Athletics here.

The racing starts with the Junior Mile at 8:45am and the Brighton 10K is off at 9:30am. Entries are £26/£28 for the 10K, including free photography and a fantastic finishers medal.
