Run South London 2026

Earlybird Places Selling Fast For Run South London

Demand grows for new London race...

Run South London is set to make its debut on 14 March 2027 with organisers already reporting strong demand for the brand new closed road half marathon through Morden, Wimbledon and Merton. The inaugural event will start and finish in Morden, giving runners the chance to experience a fresh 13.1 mile route through South London streets and green spaces.

Organised by the team behind the Great North Run, the event aims to combine the atmosphere of a major city race with a strong local community focus. The fully closed road course is expected to appeal to a wide range of runners, from first time half marathon participants through to experienced club runners chasing a PB.

The route will pass through several well known South London areas while incorporating greener sections around Merton and Wimbledon. Organisers say the event is also designed to involve local businesses, sports clubs and community groups as part of race weekend activities.

Interest in the first edition has continued to build following the opening ticket releases, with organisers confirming that previous entry allocations sold out within weeks. Earlybird places are currently available at the lowest entry price, although availability remains limited.

For many runners, part of the attraction comes from the chance to take part in the very first edition of what could become a major addition to the London running calendar. The combination of a new course, closed roads and spring race timing is already helping the event stand out ahead of 2027.

Organisers are encouraging runners to secure places early as demand continues to increase ahead of the March debut in South London.
