Richmond RUN-FEST medals 2024

Time To Join The Kew!

For races that finish with a music festival, it must be Richmond RUN-FEST...

The 18th-century Richmond Bridge – the oldest surviving bridge crossing the tidal River Thames, built between 1774 and 1777 – features in the medal design for the GoFundMe Richmond RUN-FEST on Sunday 15 September 2024.

The chunky, colourful medal doubles as a useful bottle opener and there is a subtle nod to the Paris Olympics with a discreet fleur-de-lis – the symbol most often associated with France, with evidence that it has been used as an emblem by French royalty since the 12th- century.

Richmond RUN-FEST is in its 12th year, based at the world-famous Royal Botanical Gardens at Kew. The programme features four different events; up to 5,000 runners; a live music stage and a fitness expo.

The Richmond Marathon, Richmond Half Marathon, and Richmond RUN-FEST 10K all start within beautiful Kew Gardens and finish at the music and fitness festival in Old Deer Park, Richmond upon Thames.

London's flattest marathon (160m elevation change in 26.2 miles) starts at 8:00am. The Half Marathon and 10K are under starter's orders for 9:15am and the WWF Kid's and Family Mile races take place with over 1,000 children competing in Old Deer Park from 3:00pm to 4:30pm.

Richmond Marathon is held on a fully licensed course that is a London Marathon 'Good for Age' and Boston Marathon qualifier. This event is so popular that all general entries have been snapped up, however there are some charity places still available. The half marathon is around 70% full and the 10K is 60% full at the time of writing.

All the main race entries include free entry to Kew Gardens for supporters (up to two adults and two children, plus runner – normally £16 per adult). An amazing technical T-shirt (male and female cut) is available and motivating marathon pacers are there to help you achieve your goals.
