Port Glasgow 10K Back This Year!
Port Glasgow 10K returns to the race calendar in 2025 and is open for entries...
The Port Glasgow 10K is back in 2025 after a one-year hiatus and it is open for entries with plenty of time to train for race day on 22 June. Organised by Port Glasgow Runners, the event welcomes participants of all abilities and provides those taking part with the chance to take on a scenic and rewarding route along the Clyde.
The race begins at Port Glasgow's Coronation Park, with runners heading out along the Clyde to Kingston Dock before making their way back through the park and towards Kelburn Park via the popular 'Boardwalk' section. After looping Kelburn Park, competitors will return past the striking Newark Castle and cross the finish line back at Coronation Park.
Along the way runners will be treated to some of the town’s most famous sights, including the historic 1815 Town Buildings, Gourock Rope Works, Kelburn Park and the impressive 'Shipbuilders of Port Glasgow' sculptures - affectionately known as the 'Skelpies'. These towering figures will welcome participants as they approach the final stretch, offering an inspiring finish to an unforgettable race.
Trophies will be awarded to the fastest male, female, junior male and junior female runners, with medals for all finishers. The event has seen some impressive performances in recent years, with Neil Lafferty of Greenock Glenpark Harriers setting the fastest male time of 34:08 in 2022, while Nynke Mulholland of Inverclyde AC recorded a rapid 35:51 to top the female rankings that same year.
