A brand new event is set to join the Scottish running calendar this September as MCTF Run The Track Livingston makes its debut at Xcite Craigswood Athletics Track. Organised by MacTuff, the new meeting promises a fast, friendly and professionally organised afternoon of racing for runners targeting a personal best or experiencing track competition for the first time.

Featuring accurately measured 5K and 10K races, the event takes place entirely on the purpose built athletics track, providing ideal conditions for consistent pacing and quick times. Runners will be seeded into heats based on their predicted finishing times, helping to create competitive races with athletes of similar ability.

Every lap will be recorded using personal split lap chip timing, giving competitors detailed pacing information alongside an official finish time. Combined with limited field sizes and precision organisation, the format is designed to help runners perform at their best while enjoying a welcoming and supportive atmosphere.

As the newest addition to the growing MCTF Run The Track series, the Livingston event gives runners in West Lothian an exciting new opportunity to race on the track. Whether you're chasing a breakthrough performance over 5K or stepping up to the 10K, this inaugural event promises the perfect setting to finish the summer season on a high.
