New Trainer Day?
There's a new inov-8 outlet shop in the north east...
If you love a bargain, and who doesn't, then those of you in the north east will be delighted to hear that there is a new inov-8 outlet store opened in County Durham. Located on the Beechburn Industrial Estate in Crook, the shop opened its doors at the end of March, selling inov-8 branded running, hiking and fitness kit.
Founded in 2003 by the then Stanhope-based entrepreneur Wayne Edy, inov-8 has run an office and warehouse on the estate for two decades. It has now opened its first-ever outlet store on the same site.
Preparing to celebrate its 20th birthday this June, inov-8 has grown into an international company over the past two decades, selling its uniquely designed shoes, clothing and equipment in more than 50 countries worldwide.
Three new full-time recruits from the local area have been employed to help run the outlet, under the guidance of Store & Operations Manager Sonny Wilkinson, who has 15 years of experience within inov-8’s business. Wilkinson said: “It’s an exciting development for inov-8 and a boost to the local area amid unfortunate shop closures elsewhere.
“We’re selling a large range of past-season trainers and kit for runners, hikers and gym-goers of all abilities and experiences. They include great deals on some of our most-loved shoes that have now reached end-of-line and older colourways of popular clothing items.
“We have a knowledgeable team in place to staff the outlet, as well as in-store changing facilities and plenty of free on-site parking, so we hope to welcome lots of people through the doors.”
