MoRunning In The North
Time to start growing your moustache... Movember is round the corner!
MoRunning is back in the North for November 2024 so with a month to go, now is the time to rally your family, friends and colleagues to be part of this fun but important running event that takes place throughout November in support of Movember.
Speaking about the Movember movement, a spokesperson said: "November is the month that we should all release our inner MoRunner in support of Movember. Whether you fundraise for them or not, your involvement just in taking part is invaluable to us."
1.5K, 5K, 10K and half marathon MoRuns will take place in locations across the UK. In the north of England you can participate in events in Newcastle, Liverpool and Sheffield (16th), Manchester and Leeds (17th), Carlisle (23rd) and York (24th). For those unable to join in at a live event there will also be a worldwide Virtual MoRun challenge.
All MoRuns offer fantastic routes, full race chip timing, incredible medals plus extras from event partners, fancy dress and best Mo prizes, smiles, laughs, new friendships and the creation of incredible, fun-filled memories. These races are all about inclusivity; whether you are just starting out, a seasoned runner, young or old, you can be a MoRunner.
The MoRuns are organised by the Movember Foundation, the only charity tackling men’s health on a global scale. Through the MoRun and other activities, the charity raises funds and awareness of prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention throughout the year.
All sums raised through entries, donations and individual fundraising at events like the MoRunning races across the UK help support Movember to achieve their very worthy goal: to stop men dying too young and to change the face of men’s health.
