Trails And Summer Smiles In Lymm

Lymm Festival Races return with trail running and family fun in June...

A summer favourite returns to the North West as the Lymm Festival Races take place on Sunday 21 June, bringing a mix of trail running and family friendly racing to Cheshire.

Organised by Lymm Runners, the event centres around Lymm High School, where all races start and finish on the playing fields, creating a lively and welcoming hub for runners and spectators.

The main event is a 5 mile trail race that heads out onto local footpaths and woodland trails, including sections through Helsdale Wood and Spud Wood. With a mix of terrain underfoot, it offers a rewarding off road challenge in a scenic setting.

Alongside the main race, a children’s fun run of around 2K gives younger runners the chance to be part of the day, making it a true community event with something for all ages.

The combination of trail running, local support and a festival atmosphere makes this a standout date in the regional calendar, with runners returning year after year to enjoy both the course and the occasion.

Whether you are chasing a strong run on the trails or simply looking for a relaxed and friendly race environment, Lymm offers the perfect way to enjoy summer running in the North West.
