Do The Loop At Linacre
Lap it up in Derbyshire this autumn at six-hour endurance event...
The Linacre Infini Trail Run returns on 8 November, offering a six-hour endurance test around the stunning Linacre Reservoirs near Chesterfield. Organised by First Light Adventure, the event challenges runners to complete as many laps as possible of a 3.7-mile route within the time limit.
The course weaves through the woodlands surrounding Linacre’s three reservoirs before climbing into open fields above the valley and looping back towards the start. Each lap is fully marked and marshalled, with runners passing through a well-stocked checkpoint at the start-finish area, where real food and water will be available.
Participants who complete at least one lap will earn a bespoke Linacre Infini medal, with the added incentive of seeing how many loops they can achieve. Last year’s record stands at 13 laps, and organisers are keen to see if anyone can surpass it in 2025.
This year’s event also has a charitable focus, with organisers partnering with Ashgate Hospice. 15 special charity places are available, with the option for runners to have their entry fee refunded if they raise £100 or more in sponsorship for the hospice.
The Linacre Infini promises to be a memorable day out for trail runners of all levels. If you'd like to know more, visit the First Light Adventure website.
