The Kings Head Canter 5K is a long established point to point road race held in the East Sussex countryside. First staged in 1998, the event takes runners from Chiddingly to neighbouring East Hoathly on a measured rural course that has become a popular fixture in the local running calendar.
The route follows quiet country roads across an undulating landscape, with a modest overall climb providing a gentle challenge across the 5K distance. The point to point format gives the race a distinctive character and attracts runners of all abilities looking for a friendly and well organised event.
Organised by the East Hoathly and Halland Carnival Society, the race helps raise funds for the village carnival and wider community activities.
