The Robin Hood Half Marathon is organised by Goldline Events and is one of the UK's longest running and best known city road races. Starting and finishing beside the River Trent on Victoria Embankment, the event features a traffic free Half Marathon alongside the 1.5 mile Robin Hood Mini Marathon, creating a major day of running for experienced athletes, first timers and families.
The single lap Half Marathon follows an undulating route through Nottingham, passing Nottingham Castle, the Robin Hood Statue and the historic Park Estate before entering Wollaton Park, where runners may see the resident deer. Early inclines add a steady challenge before the course returns through the city to a well supported finish on Victoria Embankment Recreation Ground.
Professional chip timing, water stations, entertainment, baggage facilities and a lively race village help deliver a memorable event. The Mini Marathon offers a shorter chip timed route for participants aged four and over, while charity fundraising and strong local support remain central to the Robin Hood Half Marathon.
