Nottingham's runners have delivered a result worth considerably more than a personal best. The Robin Hood Half Marathon 2026 has raised more than £1 million for charities and good causes, more than doubling the previous year's record and establishing a remarkable new fundraising milestone.

The achievement reflects the efforts of thousands of runners, volunteers, supporters and charity partners who came together for September's 13.1 mile race. Organised by Goldline Events, the Robin Hood Half Marathon has become an important fundraising occasion for organisations across Nottinghamshire and beyond, with the latest total demonstrating the considerable impact of its running community.

Brain Tumour Research enjoyed an outstanding first year as the event's headline charity partner, raising more than £70,000. Three other newcomers, SummitsUp, The Harley Jae Trust and Harmless, each generated more than £15,000. Returning partners including Nottingham Hospitals Charity, Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance, Forever Stars and the Children's Bereavement Centre also contributed to the record total.

Race Director Judith Manson described the achievement as something everyone involved should be immensely proud of, recognising the personal motivations of runners and the dedication of those supporting them. The event's partnership with JustGiving helped participants turn their fundraising efforts into donations for causes ranging from medical research and healthcare to bereavement support and community services.

The milestone also provides a remarkable foundation for the next Robin Hood Half Marathon on Sunday 26 September 2027. Entries are already open, giving runners another opportunity to tackle Nottingham's famous 13.1 mile challenge while supporting causes that matter to them.

For the charities benefiting from this year's efforts, the impact will extend far beyond race day. And for Nottingham's running community, a million pounds is a finishing time of a very different kind.
