The AJ Bell Great Manchester Run is organised by The Great Run Company and is one of the UK's largest city-centre running events, with 10K and Half Marathon distances through Manchester.
Both races take place on closed roads, with routes showcasing well-known parts of the city and landmarks including Old Trafford, the Imperial War Museum and the Coronation Street set. Runners start on Portland Street before finishing on Deansgate in the heart of Manchester.
A defining feature of the Great Manchester Run is its atmosphere. Tens of thousands of runners take part, supported by large crowds alongside live music and entertainment zones positioned around the course.
Finishers receive an event medal and finisher's bag, with an optional finisher's T-shirt. The event also provides tracking through the Great Run app, official race photography and extensive event-day support.
