Glasgow's Call For Santas
Run, jog, walk or hop on your sleigh – it’s time for a festive 5K...
Join Beatson Cancer Charity at this year's Glasgow Santa Dash which will take place at Glasgow Green on 8 December. Once again the event will follow a route around the Green and the Gorbals, with the whole area set to transform into a red sea of festivity.
Organisers say: "Whether you’re running, walking, or just there for the festive vibes, this is the perfect way to kick off the holiday season! We are delighted to host our festive friends dashing around Glasgow Green to help raise funds for patients and families who are living with cancer."
There is an option to receive a free Santa t-shirt to help paint your town red and yellow. But organisers are keeping the environment in mind this year and ask that if you already have a Santa t-shirt or costume, you reuse it or even get creative and make your own. Not only will you be reducing waste, but you'll also have a chance to be picked as best dressed on the day! Indeed there is a call to send in your best dressed efforts for a chance to win some top prizes.
Final word to the Beatson charity on why you should take part: "All our work is made possible by supporters like Santa Dashers. It is your generosity which allows Beatson Cancer Charity and all our staff and volunteers to deliver an innovative and patient-focused approach to cancer care and change the lives of those affected by the disease every day."
