Supernova Ballot Opens

Enter the ballot and enjoy a magical evening run across the iconic Forth Road Bridge in 2025...

2024's inaugural Supernova Forth Road Bridge event took place at the weekend and looked to be a phenomenal success. Facebook was awash with positive post race comments and fantastic images of glowing participants making their way across the iconic structure. If you fancy being a part of the fun next year then you'll be delighted to hear that the ballot for the 2025 Supernova Forth Road Bridge is open.

Organisers say: "Expressions of interest to participate in this event is already unprecedented, and as such, a ballot process will be used to allocate places for this exclusive experience."

On Saturday 1 November 2025, the iconic Forth Road Bridge will be completely closed for you to walk, jog or run 5K and help change thousands of lives for the better. Don’t miss your chance to be part of this exclusive experience, the ballot is only open for a limited time so enter now and don’t miss your opportunity to take part.

If successful in the Supernova Forth Road Bridge ballot, you can look forward to walking, jogging, or running a 5K route, enjoying a series of spectacular light and colour features all the way. The event is completely accessible and therefore suitable for all abilities. You decide your pace, whether that is to run at the speed of light, or take your time and snap a few pictures and selfies as you go.

Entry includes transport to and from the Forth Road Bridge, with your experience starting at the Event Travel Hub located at Gyle Shopping Centre. Before you reach that start line there will be a fun Supernova Warm-up full of easy moves and stretches. You’ll be given a special LED Supernova head torch to help you light up the night which you can take this home with you afterwards.

After finishing your Supernova Forth Road Bridge experience, you will receive your exclusive Supernova Forth Road Bridge Medal and Finishers pack as a memento of your evening.

Speaking about this year's event, organisers announced: "We’d like to say a huge thank you to our event partners - Gyle Shopping Centre, BEAR Scotland and Transport Scotland - all of whom worked incredibly hard to make sure the event went as smoothly as possible, and the first ever Supernova Forth Road Bridge 5K wouldn’t have been possible without. The event has already raised over £250,000 for charity, and counting."
