Six miles of smiles at Action Heart's Tuff Un race

Action Heart 5 hits the trails this spring

This popular road race is switching terrain.

Swap your road shoes for trail shoes for the Action Heart 5 which has moved from Russells Hall Hospital to the off-road delights of Baggeridge Country Park. The multi-terrain fun takes place on Sunday 13 March and finishers are rewarded for their efforts with a quality tech t-shirt.

The former road race was a challenging affair and participants can look forward to the same at Baggeridge Country Park – a beautiful area on the edge of the Black Country with a mix of parkland, woodland, hills (yep!) and single track. If we have rain before race day there will be muddy sections to deal with so shoe choice will become even more important. Something with a good grip...

It is organised by Dudley based charity Action Heart who are no strangers to Baggeridge Country Park, having held their ‘Tuff Un’ event there back in November 2021. Previously known as the ‘Suicide Six’, this race lived up to its reputation and this 5 miler aims to provide a similar test of fitness and stamina in beautiful surroundings.

The race starts at 10.30am, is chip timed and there are category prizes. There is a technical t-shirt for every finisher who can expect to glow with pride at their achievement.

This is one of several events that help to raise funds for Action Heart’s cardiac rehabilitation programme at Russells Hall Hospital, Dudley in the West Midlands.
