Born Survivor Participants In Mud

Are You A Born Survivor?

Organisers say that the only real obstacle in this epic challenge, is you…

Taking place on 7 May, the Born Survivor challenge is the stuff of legend! Capesthorne Hall near Manchester is the location for this epic event, packed with 30 obstacle challenges that will put you through your paces as you run, crawl, leap and haul yourselves through each task.

The 10K mud-fuelled assault course has been designed by Royal Marine Commandos and includes a caged water tunnel, a drop zone and the something rather scary sounding called the 'mincer'! The location may provide a picturesque setting but organisers say not to be fooled by the picture-perfect surroundings.

Born Survivor Elite Squadron is the first wave to set off on event day and is open to individual athletes only. This part of the challenge is all about testing yourself against other Elites on an awesome flowing empty course! The mission is simple, be within the first three top men or women back to base and take the glory!

And it certainly pays to be a winner. Those who ‘have what it takes’ will lift the coveted Born Survivor Elite Squadron trophies and take the awesome prizes provided by sponsors, Sportsshoes.com and Inov8.

The 5 and 10K Born Survivor challenges are best enjoyed as part of a team, so grab a buddy and let the battle commence! If you make it to the finish you can bask in your glory at the buzzing event village.

Spectators are welcome to explore the family friendly courses and take in the special vibe of the day, they can chill out in the event village before cheering you on as you tackle the epic course finale. There will be awesome food and drink outlets and lots of great opportunities to take photos of the final few obstacles as runners return to base.

A previous competitor had this to say: "We took it at our own pace, and just had fun, the sense of achievement is like nothing else I’ve experienced."
