Christmas Cracker Run reveals festive medal as Kelvingrove Park gears up for year-end celebration...
Up & Running's Christmas Cracker Run 2025 medal has been unveiled, setting the tone for a festive morning of running in Glasgow’s Kelvingrove Park on Sunday 28 December. Organisers say: "The eye-catching medal has been designed to celebrate the season and give runners a colourful and cheerful way to round off the year."
The event offers a full family programme, with 5K and 10K races alongside a 1.5K kids run and a toddler dash to bring the Christmas holidays to a lively close. With entries filling quickly across all distances, the Christmas Cracker is shaping up to be one of the most spirited race days of the festive period.
A vibrant atmosphere is expected in the park, with organisers encouraging participants to embrace the fun in full seasonal fancy dress. From Santas and elves to Grinches and reindeer, runners will be invited to take part in a best-dressed competition, with prizes to be announced in the coming weeks.
Up & Running Events has also confirmed plans for a new Glasgow Running Festival at Glasgow Green on 18 and 19 April next year. The weekend will feature 5K, 10K and half marathon races, with more additions expected, including dog runs, relays and other community-focused activities. Organisers are now inviting local traders, clubs, brands and creatives to help shape the festival village. runABC will bring more details as and when we have them!
