Runners of all abilities are invited to take on the Carsington 7.5 Mile on 11 May, a stunning one-lap challenge around the breathtaking Carsington Water in the heart of the Derbyshire countryside. This much-loved event offers participants the chance to complete a full clockwise circuit of the reservoir, taking in spectacular views across the water while tackling a course that blends flat cycle tracks with some testing undulations.

Taking place near Severn Trent Water’s Carsington Visitors Centre, the race provides an exciting challenge for both casual joggers and serious runners. While the scenic location may suggest an easy, rolling course, runners should be prepared for a few moderate climbs that will test the legs. However, the stunning surroundings more than make up for the effort!

All finishers will receive a bespoke medal, while technical t-shirts are available to purchase during race entry. For 2025, the event is introducing a brand-new league table giving runners the chance to challenge themselves and others over this unique one-lap course.
