Burnham Beeches Offers Summer Running At Its Finest
Half marathon and 10K through ancient woodland...
This relates to: Burnham Beeches Half Marathon & 10K
The Burnham Beeches Half Marathon and 10K return on Sunday 9 August 2026, inviting runners to experience one of Buckinghamshire's best-loved summer races through the spectacular surroundings of Burnham Beeches.
Organised by Burnham Joggers, the event celebrates its 45th edition in 2026. Both the Half Marathon and 10K follow a scenic route on a mixture of quiet closed roads and hard-surfaced woodland paths beneath the ancient trees of Burnham Beeches, offering welcome shade during the height of summer.
By popular demand, the courses will once again be run in the clockwise direction, with the Half Marathon starting at 9.15am and the 10K at 9.30am. The event caters for runners of all abilities, combining a picturesque setting with professional organisation, accurate chip timing and a welcoming race day atmosphere.
Every finisher will receive a unique commemorative medal, forming part of Burnham Joggers' interlinking medal series alongside the Beaconsfield 5 and Cliveden Classic. The organisers also continue their commitment to reducing environmental impact by encouraging runners to bring reusable water bottles, with refill stations available throughout the event village and on the course.
Steeped in more than four decades of history, the Burnham Beeches Half Marathon and 10K continue to offer a memorable blend of competitive racing, beautiful woodland scenery and community spirit, making them firm favourites on the South East running calendar.
