The Timberhonger 10K returns to Bromsgrove on Sunday 30 August 2026 as the popular road race celebrates its 21st edition with another morning of closed road racing through the Worcestershire countryside.

Organised by Orbit Events, the accurately measured 10K starts and finishes in Sanders Park before heading onto the quiet country roads around Timberhonger Lane, Berry Lane and Newhouse Lane. Known for its friendly atmosphere and picturesque setting, the race has become a firm favourite with runners across the Midlands.

While the route features a couple of testing hills, including the now infamous climb back along Timberhonger Lane, the varied profile makes it an enjoyable challenge for both first time 10K runners and more experienced competitors. The race is fully chip timed, with every finisher receiving a commemorative medal and official result.

The event benefits from full road closures throughout the race, allowing participants to enjoy the scenic countryside in a safe running environment. Water stations are available on the course and at the finish, while Sanders Park provides a welcoming base with parking, café facilities and easy access for spectators.

With more than two decades of history behind it, the Timberhonger 10K continues to combine excellent organisation with a memorable course. Alongside the race, Orbit Events has also expanded its programme with the Timber Trails off road event, further strengthening its portfolio of running events in Worcestershire.
