Explore Derbyshire At The Belper Rover

Scenic 30K returns to Derbyshire...

This relates to: Belper Rover

The Belper Rover returns on Sunday 23 August 2026, inviting runners and walkers to tackle one of the Midlands' most distinctive long distance trail events.

Starting and finishing in Belper, the challenging 30K circular route explores some of Derbyshire's finest countryside, following a mixture of footpaths, bridleways and quiet roads. Along the way, participants pass through farmland, ancient woodland, sections of the Midshires Way and historic Roman roads, creating a varied and rewarding day on the trails.

The fully signposted course is chip timed and welcomes both runners and walkers, with a rolling start helping to spread participants across the route. Water stations are positioned throughout the course, while every finisher receives a medal and commemorative memento after completing the demanding but memorable challenge.

The Belper Rover has earned a loyal following thanks to its friendly atmosphere, excellent organisation and strong community support. Local volunteer groups help staff the finish area and water stations, ensuring participants receive a warm welcome from start to finish.

Whether taking on a first long distance trail event or returning to test yourself against the demanding Derbyshire terrain, The Belper Rover continues to offer a memorable adventure through some of the county's most picturesque landscapes.
