Bradford's Big Year!

Bradford 10K returns in 2025 for a celebration of running, community and much more...

The Bradford 10K is set to return on 1 June bringing runners, supporters and volunteers together for an unforgettable day in Centenary Square. As the city marks Epilepsy Action’s 75th anniversary and celebrates its status as the UK’s 2025 City of Culture, this year’s race promises to be bigger and better than ever.

Since its inception in 2008, the Bradford 10K has welcomed over 16,000 participants and raised more than £600,000 for Epilepsy Action. Open to both seasoned runners and first-time participants, the event continues to be one of the most popular road races in Yorkshire.

Runners can look forward to an exciting race-day experience, complete with an exclusive finisher’s medal, water stations along the route, chip-timed results and friendly pacers to help participants achieve their goals. Local spectators will line the streets, offering encouragement as runners take on the challenge against the stunning backdrop of Bradford City Hall.

Organisers say: "This event is not just about the race - it’s about community spirit and supporting an important cause. Whether participants are chasing a personal best or simply running for fun, everyone is welcome to be part of this milestone event."

For six-time participant Martin, the Bradford 10K is more than just a race: “I find both physical and mental benefits from running, as well as the opportunity to meet and socialise with other runners. The Bradford 10K is extremely well-organised, with closed roads and plenty of support. Since my first event, I’ve participated six times, collecting T-shirts and medals along the way. I’m excited to run again in 2025, especially in the year that Bradford is City of Culture.”

With a history of record-breaking performances, including Tesfaye Debele’s course record of 31:02 set in 2013, the Bradford 10K continues to inspire runners of all abilities. Whether running, cheering, or volunteering, everyone is invited to take part and make 2025’s event truly special.
