LDNX London 10K launch 2025

Wembley Hosts LDNX 2025

The home of epic performances – Wembley – welcomes a huge new 10K...

When we heard about LDNX at runABC our first thought was: 'Why is it called LDNX'? Fortunately, the organisers of London's major new 10K run on Sunday 24 August 2025 have anticipated that question and the answer is front and centre on the event website: "The name is based on the home of the event (London) and the roman numeral for 10 (X)."

Human Race became A.S.O. UK – the British subsidiary of Tour de France organisers Amaury Sport Organisation (A.S.O.) – in December 2024 and their prestigious portfolio includes the Cancer Research UK London Winter Run 10K; adidas Manchester Marathon; Manchester Half Marathon and the Dragon Ride cycling sportive.

LDNX will feature a closed-road course based on the home of epic performances – the world-famous Wembley Stadium! The area around the stadium will be brought to life on the day with live music, innovative entertainment, and activities for participants and supporters to explore post-event.

The inaugural edition will have space for 12,000 entries which are expected to be in high demand. All aspects of the event have been carefully designed to support runners of all abilities to achieve their goals, from elite athletes to first-time 10K participants. This will include pre-event training runs hosted by pro coaches and access to experts who can give personalised advice through Q&A sessions.

Andrew Smith, CEO of organisers A.S.O. UK, said: “Wembley will be the centre of attention this summer, so alongside iconic football games and record-breaking concerts, this major new 10K will give everyone a chance to perform in legendary surroundings. LDNX will be an unforgettable experience for those who take part, with some new innovations that are unlike any other 10K in the UK. We are known for delivering quality annual events such as the Manchester Marathon and London Winter Run, and this will mix the best aspects of those with some great new features befitting the home of epic performances.”

A limited number of places for the inaugural LDNX 10K will be available later this month. They are expected to be very popular and are being released on a strictly first-come, first-served basis. To give yourself the best opportunity to secure a spot and to be among the select number of people to register for the special launch price of just £29 you can leave your details for the special Early Access period here...
