The Bonfire Burn 10K is an established community race starting and finishing at Histon & Impington Recreation Ground near Cambridge. The route takes runners through Histon and Impington and into the surrounding open countryside on a mostly tarmac surfaced course.
The 10K is suited to a wide range of runners, with staggered starting waves helping to spread the field around the course. Individual chip timing records each runner's time, while marshals and two water stations provide support along the route.
Organised by local charity HI Friends with support from HI Runners, the event regularly attracts hundreds of runners and has a welcoming local atmosphere. Finishers receive a distinctive wooden medal, with refreshments available at the recreation ground and trophies awarded across several age categories.
