The Amazing Northampton Run returns on Sunday 13 September 2026, bringing runners of all abilities together for a celebration of running through the heart of England's largest town.

Starting and finishing in Northampton's historic town centre, the event features a Half Marathon, a three person Half Marathon Relay and a family friendly 3 Mile Fun Run, creating an inclusive race day that welcomes everyone from first time participants to experienced runners.

The Half Marathon showcases many of Northampton's best known landmarks, taking runners past the town's football, rugby and cricket grounds before winding through three parks, alongside the River Nene and around the modern university campus. The route finishes back in the town centre where spectators create a memorable atmosphere for every finisher.

The Half Marathon Relay offers teams of three the opportunity to share the challenge across three legs, making it an ideal option for friends, families, colleagues and running clubs. For those looking for a shorter distance, the 3 Mile Fun Run provides a relaxed way to enjoy the excitement of race day and cross the same finish line in the heart of Northampton.

Pacers will once again be available across a wide range of target finish times to help runners achieve their goals, while four aid stations, secure bag drop and a professionally organised event experience help participants focus on enjoying the race.
