Mull Half Marathon and 10K 2026

Island Running Returns With Mull Half Marathon And 10K

Scenic island races await...

The Mull Half Marathon and 10K return on Saturday 1 August 2026, bringing runners back to one of Scotland’s most distinctive island road races.

Organised by Mull Runners, the event has been a fixture on the Isle of Mull for more than three decades, attracting participants from across Scotland and beyond. Both races showcase the island’s spectacular coastal and rural scenery, offering a memorable running experience in the heart of the Inner Hebrides.

The Half Marathon starts near Craignure and follows the island roads towards Salen, while the 10K joins the route further along before sharing the same finish. Both races conclude at the Salen Hotel, creating a welcoming atmosphere for runners and supporters alike.

What makes the event particularly appealing is the combination of competitive racing and island hospitality. With limited places available each year, the race has developed a loyal following among runners seeking a destination event that offers more than just a finish time. The journey to Mull becomes part of the experience, with ferry crossings, coastal views and a unique race day setting adding to the occasion.

All finishers receive a commemorative medal and event T-shirt, while prizes are awarded across open and local categories. The event also forms part of the wider Hebridean Tri-Island Challenge for runners taking on races across Scotland’s western isles.

With its scenic route, long-standing tradition and unforgettable island backdrop, the Mull Half Marathon and 10K continue to stand out as one of Scotland’s most distinctive summer running events.

Entries for the 2026 event have sold out but you can join a waiting list at Entry Central here.
