Running Through The Dusty Bluebells
You won't feel the blues on this scenic 10K...
Trail runners are invited to lace up for one of the most scenic races of the spring as the Yarrow River Bluebell 10K returns to Lancashire's Yarrow Valley on 10 May. Set against a backdrop of colourful, fragrant bluebells, this one lap trail race offers a memorable 10K route through woodland paths and along the banks of the River Yarrow.
Organisers say: "Our event welcomes everyone from experienced runners to those taking on their first ever 10K, with the focus firmly on great running, we offer a supportive atmosphere and an enjoyable day out."
The course winds through natural trails with picturesque river crossings that add both challenge and charm. Runners can expect peaceful woodland sections, flowing riverside stretches and plenty of encouragement around the route.
The Flaming Grill Pub serves as the event base, giving runners and supporters a place to relax after the race, enjoy some food and swap stories from the course. Organisers hope the event will feel like more than just a race, creating a social occasion for everyone to enjoy.
The race is organised by Trailblazing Events, a family team with a passion for both running and putting on friendly, well supported events. They say: "Many participants return year after year, drawn by the relaxed atmosphere. Come and join us for an event that offers a real personal touch in one of the region’s most picturesque trail settings."
