The Half Marathon Powered By The Ealing Feeling
Closed roads and exceptional community support await in Ealing...
This relates to: Ealing Half Marathon
The Wizz Air Ealing Half Marathon will bring thousands of runners to West London on Sunday 27 September 2026 for a race built around closed roads, community support and the famous #EalingFeeling. Starting at 9.00am, the award-winning event offers a single-lap 13.1-mile course through the London Borough of Ealing, supported by hundreds of volunteers and crowds lining the surrounding streets.
The race begins and finishes around Walpole Park, with runners heading onto West London’s only fully road-closed Half Marathon course. The UK Athletics registered route keeps competitors moving through Ealing without repeated laps, offering an uninterrupted journey through the borough before the welcome return to the finish. Water stations are positioned at miles four, five and a half and nine, with another available after the line.
The Half Marathon has been voted the UK’s best for three consecutive years, but its reputation is based on more than the course alone. Around 30,000 spectators and 700 volunteers help create an atmosphere that has become central to the event’s identity, giving runners encouragement throughout the race rather than saving the biggest support for the final few hundred metres.
There is also a new name above the start line in 2026, with Wizz Air beginning a three-year partnership as title sponsor. The Ealing Half Marathon becomes part of the wider WIZZ Run Series, joining a collection of sponsored races across Europe while retaining the local character that has developed since the event was launched in 2012.
The wider weekend begins on Saturday with the Trailfinders Ealing Mini Mile in Walpole Park. The children’s event has already filled its available places, with a waiting list operating after another rapid sell-out. Sunday also introduces the Ealing Feeling 5K, a new fully road-closed community race starting alongside the Half Marathon and offering beginners, families and experienced runners a shorter way to share the occasion.
Whether you are chasing a Half Marathon personal best, preparing to complete 13.1 miles for the first time or looking for a London race where the local community plays a starring role, the Wizz Air Ealing Half Marathon offers a distinctive experience. A medal, technical T-shirt and chip timing are included, but it is the support through the streets of Ealing that runners are likely to remember longest.
