Windsor Half Marathon on Long Walk

Run Windsor For 25% Less

Windsor Running Festival early bird discount ends soon...

A generous 25% Early Bird Discount for the 42nd Windsor Running Festival ends on Saturday, 31st January 2026. To save big, you will need to act fast. Only a limited number of places are still available, and the event's capacity will be reached soon.

Windsor's big weekend comprises the ever-popular Windsor Women's 10K on Saturday, 26th September, and the traditional Windsor Half Marathon on Sunday, 27th September 2026. Last year, a total of 4,394 runners, including 2,332 females, competed across both races in Windsor Great Park and the surrounding roads.

The male-female ratio imbalance is easily explained, as the Saturday 10K is for women only. Last year's winner was Hannah Maher, of the City of Norwich AC, in 38:06. The following day's half marathon champions were James McMurray (St Albans AC, 1:05:28) and W45 master Lesley Locks (Reading AC, 1:22:29) – who retained her title in a time that was two minutes faster than she ran in 2024!

The Windsor Women's 10K and Windsor Half Marathon both start and finish on the spectacular Long Walk in front of Windsor Castle. The Windsor Women’s 10K passes the Copper Horse statue, the Royal Lodge, and the Jubilee Statue before a downhill finish toward Windsor Castle.

The Windsor Half Marathon is a challenging run with several undulations. The course takes runners further into the Royal Estate, with added sights such as the Royal Chapel, the Royal School, the Prince Consort Statue, and Virginia Water, before possibly the most iconic road race finishing straight in the UK.

The Early Bird reduction brings the Windsor Women's 10K entry fee down to £22.50 for club runners (£24.50 unattached). The Windsor Half Marathon can be entered for £31.50 or £33.50, but the special offers will end this month.

Results and reports are at the runABC South race listing here (10K) and here (half marathon)
